Botanical Name: 
Populus fremontii 'Wislizenii'

A large, fast growing tree with a rounded crown that is often broad or broader than the tree is high. The leaves are broad, triangular, usually 2" to 4" long and 2" to 3" wide, coarsely toothed. The bark is smooth and whitish when young, becoming furrowed and grayish as it matures. The Wislizenii is the counterpart of the Fremont cottonwood but in a range farther eastward.  Plant away from foundations, walkways and plumbing lines.

Outstanding autumn color.  All cottonwoods can drop limbs in the windy conditions of the west.  Be aware to plant away from buildings, foundations and walkways.
