Pine Italian Stone

Description
Botanical Name: 
Pinus pinea

Native to southern Europe and Turkey.  It has a broad, somewhat flattened, rounded canopy.  Needles are bright green, stiff, alternate, spiral, 6" long and arranged in slightly twisted bundles.  The cones, which produce pine nuts are heavy, broadly oval, brown, and 5" to 6" long.  Moderate growth rate.
