A dwarf, densely branched, spiny shrub. Leaves are deep crimson, alternate, simple, obovate to oblong, 1/2" to 1 1/4" long, 1/4" to 1/2" wide. Color is best with full sun. Makes a good small hedge or can be used as a specimen. Slow growth rate.
