Sierra Vista Growers seeks energetic cashiers, sales associates, and production personnel to join our fast-paced, professional retail nursery and greenhouse team. Seeking team-oriented seasonal and full-time employees from mid-February through mid-June 2018; weekend availability is a must. Prefer applicants with nursery plant knowledge, sales experience, and bilingual language skills. Wage is dependent on experience and skills.  

• Cashier. Position responsibilities are to complete costumer check out, be the initial point of contact in greeting and assisting customers, answer phones, restock store merchandise, and cleaning the store, bathrooms, and retail display area. Cashiers are expected to greet customers in a cheerful and professional manner, efficiently and accurately complete customer check out, restocking store merchandise and cleaning. Cashiers are expected to answer phones in a polite and professional manner, taking accurate messages and directing questions to the appropriate team member for assistance. Cashiers may be asked to help translate between English and Spanish. Additional tasks may include watering plants, cutting boxes, planting, and loading customers. This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager.

• Sales Associate. Position responsibilities include customer service, helping customers locate plants, providing accurate information, and driving sales of plant material, fertilizers, compost and other merchandise as needed. This position is responsible for providing accurate and timely plant availability, size and pricing information to customers and team members. Sales Associates also assist with restocking plant inventory, maintaining a clean and presentable sales floor, planting and watering, and assisting with customer carry out. Sales Associates must be able to life 50 lbs and be available to work weekends. Preference will be given to applicants with plant, shrub, tree, and/or greenhouse knowledge and those with past sales experience. This position reports directly to the Sales Team Lead.

• Production Personnel. Position responsibilities include greenhouse propagation, planting, weeding, watering, maintenance, restocking benches, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Production Personnel track and report inventory, tag plants, and help with customer service, as required. Team members must be able to work efficiently, lift 50 lbs and be able to work some weekends. Preference will be given to applicants with prior production experience. This position reports directly to the Production Team Lead.
