Baccharis sarothroides

Native to the Southwestern U.S. A very hardy, fast growing evergreen shrub. Green, broomlike branches are strongly angled and nearly leafless. Extremely tolerant of drought, heat, and poor soils. Very useful in erosion control and one of the most durable shrubs in the southwest.
