Native to China, Japan. Leaves are dark green on top, silver underneath, laceolate, simple, opposite, 2"- 6" long. Fragrant, white flowers in dense, arching, spikelike, slender clusters 4"-12" long. Freezes to the ground in winter, but recovers rapidly in spring. Good background or accent plant. Deadheading is recommended. Fast growth rate.
