Ligustrum DescriptionBotanical Name: Ligustrum japonicum 'Texanum' Native of China, Korea and Japan. A dense, lush, evergreen shrub with an upright growth habit. Leaves are simple, leathery, broad-ovate to ovate-oblong, 1 1/2 to 4" long, 3/4 to 2" wide. Small, white tubular flowers in early summer, followed by fruit which is black 1/4" wide. Responds well to pruning.
