Planting Guide

Transplanting Your New Tree or Shrub

Installing your new tree or shrub involves more that just digging a hole and setting the plant into it. Choose its location carefully. You'll want to provide a good enviornment (light, moisture, nutrients, room for mature growth patterns) for the whole plant, including the important root system.

A safe date for transplanting in our area is around April 15th. Prior to this, you must be prepared to protect transplants from late frost, even freezes.
