Perennials
Perennials are plants that live for more than two years. The term is used to differentiate plants from shorter lived annuals (1 season) and biannuals (2 seasons). Perennials grow and bloom from spring into autumn. With the onset of winter, they die down but the roots remain alive in a dormant state. As the weather warms up again, they send forth new foliage and flowers. If conditions are ideal, this pattern can continue for many years. Their presence in your garden will save you time, labor, and expense of replanting every season. Another advantage to perennials is that you can share them with family and friends.
