Ash Fan-Tex
Thrives in hot, dry climates and alkaline soils. Fan-Tex has a more rounded, broad, oval shape than Fraxinus velutina (Arizona Ash). Leaves are thick, pinnately compound, 3 to 5 leaflets, elliptic to lanceolate, glabrous light green, turning yellow in autumn. Bark is gray and furrowed. Fast growth rate. Possibility of surface roots. Plant at least 20 feet away from foundations or walkways.
