Ash Arizona
Native to southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Withstands hot, dry conditions. Grows in a pyramid form when young, spreading to 30-40 feet wide when mature. Leaflets are 5 to 9, lanceolate to oblanceolate, narrowly elliptic or elliptic-oblong, 1 1/2" to 4" long. Medium green leaves turn bright yellow in autumn. Bark is gray and fissured.
